Background
The GBBR School of Real Estate was established in 1990 to provide GBBR affiliate members and members of the public with access to real estate courses instructed by qualified real estate professionals who were familiar with the Greater Baltimore marketplace. The instructors for the GBBR School of Real Estate are practitioners who are respected by their peers in the real estate industry. Our course sessions are designed to prepare participants for acquiring a real estate license in the state of Maryland, according to the requirements set forth by the Maryland Real Estate Commission under the Department of Labor, Licensing and Registration (DLLR).
Established in 1858, the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS® (GBBR) was the nation’s first real estate association, and later participated as a founding member for both the National Association of REALTORS® and Maryland REALTORS® association. For more than 165 years, GBBR has promoted the highest ethical standards and practices in the real estate industry, and we continue to serve as an advocate for the business and professional interests of our members.
As one of the largest local trade associations in the Baltimore metropolitan area, GBBR serves approximately 5,000 members including REALTOR® agents, brokers, and affiliates that conduct business related to the real estate industry.
